Letters to Saints
“I will spend my heaven doing good on earth” – words of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, also recorded in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 956). The little Doctor of the Church was guided by wisdom and led along right paths (cf. Wisdom 7:15), a road that runs along timeless lines, reaches into our worlds and moves our boundaries towards Heaven.
Alongside quoting Saint Thérèse, the Catechism reminds us that “It is not merely by the title of example that we cherish the memory of those in heaven, but still more in order that the union of the whole Church may be strengthened in the Spirit by the practice of fraternal charity. For just as Christian communion among wayfarers brings us closer to Christ, so our companionship with the saints joins us to Christ, from whom as from its fountain and head issues every grace, and the very life of the people of God.” (CCC 957)
The Lord gives many graces through the communion of saints. We turn to their intercession on our pilgrimages.
But our pilgrimages begin within, in the heart that strengthens our steps for the road.
For the sake of weak steps and of those who are not able to set out on a pilgrimage, through Letters to Saints we offer you the chance to have us carry your prayers for intercession to the shrines we visit.
Your prayers, received in digital form, we carry in written form, and we offer a Mass intention so that the Lord, according to His will, may grant graces through the intercession of His heavenly host.
